Researchers in Norway have found that long lining of fish has several advantages over trawling. Long lining, when practiced in the correct manner, has the least environmental impact and produces the best quality fish. The research was mainly funded by the Research Council of Norway, as part of a project to look at the value chain of line caught white fish. 8 May 2010
