Greenpeace is concerned that a small number of wealthy families “control huge swathes of fishing rights” around the United Kingdom, to the detriment of local fishermen.
A fishing industry spokesperson suggests the problem lies with the European Union, which awards other fishing nations 60% of the UK’s fish stocks.
